Features
GERMILED germicidal lamps are an effective and safe disinfection and sterilization method.

Functions
The ultraviolet germicidal irradiation 253.7nm, known as perfect disinfectant to sterilize room spaces, objects and utensils, is 99.9% effective in eliminating viruses, bacteria, germs and fungi. Our Germiled contain an electronic ballast that that makes the high-quality lighting source work in the best temperature conditions, achieving the highest performance and the longest possible life of the bulb. GERMILED lamps are equipped with a remote control that is not only at the control of turning on/off, but also the time switch. Apart from that, the lamps incorporate a motion detector that can disconnect the lamp in the presence of human being and pets. Once there is no one around, the luminaire will turn back on to continue with the germicidal action. Thanks to these devices, we ensure a whole safe disinfection action and avoid the unnecessary exposure to the skin and eyes human from the emission of UVC 253.7nm.

Timer
There is a built-in timer in the lamp and it is activated by the remote control. The controller-timer is used to turn the light on and keep it on for 15-30-60 minutes. The longer it exposes to, the greater germicidal result it will get. Moreover, the remote control makes it possible to control the disinfection process from outside the room if needed. When the disinfection process finishes, the lamp will turn off automatically, allowing access to the room without any risks to your health.

Presence detector
GERMILED includes a presence detector or a radar sensor to its lamps, depending on its model types. These sensors are placed at the base of the lamp and they are used to turn the lamps off when human movement is detected in the radius of action. After the human body leaves away, the lamps will turn back on in 17 seconds.
Warnings and safety measures
- Caution! Although there is insufficient data to conclude the adverse effects of UV-C light. An accidental exposure may damage the skin and eyes.
- Direct Radiation Prevention.
- Safety measures are to be undertaken when installing and maintenance / replacing the bulb:
- Wear protective glasses and clothing that cover the body.
- GERMILED lamps comply with all the safety rules regulated by the UNE 0068: 2000, in which they require that all UV-C equipment should include:
- A timer function so that users can set the start-up and working time.
- A time delay controller to make sure human could have time to leave away before the disinfection action is triggered.
- A presence of a detector to ensure the disconnection when there is human movement.
- According to Article 6 of Directive 2006/25 / EC /, workers shall be kept informed and be properly trained. It’s strongly recommended to hang a warning sign at hall entrances to keep people away from UVC radiation.
- Caution! Direct Radiation may cause UV-C radiation, which could lead to photo degradation in environmental materials, such as:
- Plastics
- Textiles
- Paintings
