Germicidal lamps are not very different from conventional lamps, as far as care is concerned.
First of all, it is very important to read the manufacturer’s instructions. In them, they will indicate us the precautions that we must take, and how to proceed as far as cleaning and manipulation.
However, we must say that in principle, the only cleaning recommendation would be to remove the daily dust with a dry cloth. In the event of any difficult stains, a cotton wool pad with a little alcohol could be used.
Another recommendation that should be followed for optimum operation of the UV-C lamps is to change the tubes once they have melted, or after 9,000 hours of use.
If we follow these simple recommendations, we will keep our lamps in optimum conditions for years and ensure 99.9% sterilisation.
